The Blue Bridge Story

Blue Bridge Beads, or B3, began long before I knew I was starting a jewelry business.

In August 2025, I, Aaron, lost both of my grandmothers just two weeks apart. My Goodmama, Margaret, and Memaw, Lynn, were steady forces of love and support throughout my upbringing and well into adulthood/parenthood.

To honor my Goodmama’s love for elephants, I created a scarf necklace with elephant and cross charms to wear to her funeral. At the time, I had no idea I would be making another necklace with seashells and pearls to wear to my Memaw’s funeral just two weeks later.

In the midst of tremendous grief, creating those necklaces gave me somewhere to put what I was feeling. It became a creative outlet that helped me begin processing the gaping holes these losses would leave behind. Friends loved the necklaces and began asking me to make pieces for them, too. But with a full-time job and busy schedules with my husband and two gingers, necklace making was short-lived.

Then, in March 2026, the Lord called me back home to care for my family full-time.

A few months later, in July, a good friend taught me how to make beaded necklaces. I began creating again and shared a few of her designs on Instagram, only for them to sell out almost immediately. I made more. Those sold, too. The natural next step was to create a place where I could share and sell her designs.

And Blue Bridge Beads was born, named after the famous pedestrian bridge in Chattanooga where my family spends many afternoons.

Looking back, I can see that B3 was never just jewelry. It was a form of healing and therapy completely orchestrated by the Lord.

The Lord opened doors, and I walked through them. He gave me an instinct, and I leaned in. Somewhere among the beads, late nights, new ideas, and unexpected opportunities, He began using Blue Bridge Beads to restore parts of me I thought might never heal.

He filled voids in ways I never could have imagined. I forgave others. I forgave herself. And I began living with a renewed sense of joy, freedom, and purpose.

There are still moments when I catch myself thinking, “It’s just jewelry.”

But then I remember where it started, or more importantly, WHO started it.

Two necklaces made in honor of two women I loved deeply. A creative outlet in the middle of heartbreak. A friend willing to teach me something new. A few necklaces posted on Instagram. Doors I never expected to open.

And I can’t think of a more precious way to heal, grow, and create something beautiful from what once hurt so deeply.

Beauty Beyond the Trend

B3’s tagline, Beauty Beyond the Trend, is more than a phrase. It is at the heart of what I hope Blue Bridge Beads represents. You’ll see the words, beauty and joy woven throughout the site, that is intentional!

Because beauty isn’t measured by what is in style. It isn't something a piece of jewelry can give you. Beauty is already within you, uniquely given with purpose and unimaginable creativity by an undeniable Creator.

The jewelry is simply there to celebrate it.

My prayer is that wearing a B3 piece brings you as much joy as I felt while making it. Because while not every season or every moment brings happiness, even the hardest seasons can still hold joy. Blue Bridge Beads is living proof of that.

So, wear the bright colors. Enjoy learning your style. Choose the piece that simply makes you smile. And when you put it on, may you be reminded that you were created beautifully, uniquely, and with purpose.

Most of all, may every B3 piece be a small reminder of the promise I have experienced for myself:

Joy comes in the morning, and true beauty goes beyond the trend.
